Testing Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a Transformer Testing Engineer to carry out electrical and high-voltage testing of power and distribution transformers in accordance with applicable standards and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine, type, and special tests on transformers
• Conduct electrical tests such as TTR, winding resistance, IR, tan delta, impedance, no-load and load loss tests
• Carry out high-voltage tests including applied and induced voltage tests
• Assist in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT)
• Analyze test results and identify non-conformities
• Prepare test reports and technical documentation
• Ensure compliance with IEC / IEEE / IS standards
• Follow safety procedures during high-voltage testing
• Coordinate with production, quality, and design teams

Required Skills

• Knowledge of transformer testing methods and standards
• Experience with transformer testing equipment
• Good analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Strong documentation and reporting skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in transformer manufacturing, testing, or commissioning is an advantage

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month

Experience:

• Testing Manager: 5 years (Required)
