Job Description

Test Engineer Responsibilities

As a selected team, your daily tasks will include:

Requirement Analysis
– Understand and review business requirements, technical specifications, and use cases.
Test Planning
– Design test plans, strategies, and timelines aligned with project objectives.
Test Case Design
– Create detailed test cases, test scripts, and test data based on requirements.
Test Execution
– Execute manual and automated test cases across functional, integration, regression, and system testing.
Defect Tracking
– Identify, log, track, and prioritize bugs using tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar.
Automation Testing
– Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for efficiency and reusability.
Performance Testing
– Conduct load, stress, and scalability testing to ensure system stability under varying conditions.
Security Testing
– Verify applications against security vulnerabilities and compliance standards.
Collaboration
– Work closely with developers, business analysts, and product managers to ensure quality deliverables.
Continuous Integration/Deployment (CI/CD)
– Integrate test cases within CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.).
Test Documentation
– Maintain clear documentation of test plans, execution results, and defect reports.
Quality Metrics Reporting
– Provide test summary reports, coverage reports, and defect statistics to stakeholders.
User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Support
– Assist business teams in validating applications for production readiness.
Root Cause Analysis
– Analyze defects and failures to identify gaps in requirements, coding, or testing.
Process Improvement
– Suggest and implement improvements in testing processes, tools, and methodologies.
