Territory Sales Executive

As a Territory Sales Executive at General Mills India in Mangaluru, your primary responsibility will be to manage the distribution and display of our product range in the designated area. You will be tasked with achieving retail volume and collection targets through effective management of distributors. Your key responsibilities will include ensuring that all General Mills India products are available in relevant outlets within the assigned territory. This involves managing distribution, identifying new distributors, and maintaining visibility of our products in serviced outlets. Additionally, you will be responsible for overseeing the availability of all SKUs with the Wholesale Business (WB) and ensuring proper management of stocks, claims, and outstanding items. Furthermore, you will work closely with Distribution Sales Managers (DSMs) to ensure adherence to set norms regarding man-days, productivity, and visibility. Providing training to DSMs on selling skills and product knowledge will also be part of your role. Monitoring and reporting competitor activities, as well as sharing suggestions for local branding promotions and display contests, will contribute to the overall success of our sales strategies. In terms of interfaces, you will collaborate internally with the Regional Commercial Team and Area Sales Manager, while externally, your interactions will involve DSMs, WBs, retailers, CFA, and consumers. To excel in this role, you should hold a Graduate/MBA degree with a minimum of 2 years of experience in FMCG sales. This position is full-time and permanent, offering benefits such as Provident Fund. The job location is in Mangalore, Karnataka, and it requires a willingness to travel up to 50%.
