Job Summary

The Territory Sales Manager is responsible for achieving sales targets and driving market share growth for Eli Lilly's pharmaceutical products within a designated territory in India. This role involves building strong relationships with healthcare professionals, implementing strategic sales plans, and ensuring the effective promotion and adoption of our innovative medicines.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive territory sales plans to meet and exceed assigned sales quotas for Eli Lilly's product portfolio.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong, ethical, and professional relationships with key opinion leaders, physicians, pharmacists, hospital administrators, and other healthcare stakeholders within the assigned territory.
  • Conduct regular field visits to healthcare professionals, providing accurate and up-to-date information on Eli Lilly products, their benefits, and appropriate usage.
  • Identify and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to adapt sales strategies and maximize business opportunities.
  • Plan and organize educational programs, product presentations, and scientific symposia for healthcare professionals to enhance product knowledge and generate demand.
  • Monitor and report on territory performance, market intelligence, and customer feedback to sales management.
  • Ensure full compliance with all company policies, industry regulations, and ethical guidelines for pharmaceutical sales and marketing.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including marketing, medical affairs, and market access, to achieve shared objectives.
  • Manage and allocate promotional resources effectively within the assigned territory.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of all sales activities, customer interactions, and expense reports.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in pharmacy, Life Sciences, Business Administration, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of successful pharmaceutical sales experience in India, preferably within a multinational pharmaceutical company.
  • Proven track record of consistently achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong understanding of the Indian pharmaceutical market, including key therapeutic areas, regulatory landscape, and healthcare ecosystem.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence healthcare professionals.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships.
  • Results-oriented with a strong business acumen and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in English and local regional languages pertinent to the assigned territory.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory
