Role & responsibilities

Business Results
Ensure robust, scalable, and safe process development to support smooth technology transfer and commercialization. Contribute to business growth through efficient scale-up and successful first-time-right plant batches. Drive process optimization and productivity improvement across development and manufacturing stages.Process Control and Improvement Standardize technology transfer documentation and improve process engineering workflows. Utilize simulation tools (e.g., Dynochem) for process validation and optimization. Identify and mitigate process risks through systematic analysis and CAPA implementation.

Sustainable Business Growth
Promote a culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement in R&D and plant operations. Support cross-functional alignment between R&D, production, QA/QC, and engineering teams to ensure scalability and sustainability of developed processes.

1. Process Development & Optimization
a. Process Review: Review and optimize lab-scale processes to ensure robustness, scalability, and safety. b. Experiment Analysis: Evaluate experiment outcomes from a scale-up perspective, analyze data, and provide technical feedback. c. Process Engineering: Perform process calculations and validations using Dynochem or equivalent simulation software. d. Documentation: Prepare and maintain lab monitoring sheets, PFDs (Process Flow Diagrams), and equipment mapping for pilot-scale studies.2. Technology Transfer & Scale-Upa. Tech Pack Preparation: Compile comprehensive technical packages, including PFDs, equipment suitability, volume calculation sheets, impurity profiles, and mass/material balance sheets. b. Facility Fitment: Coordinate with production and engineering teams to verify process fitment with existing plant capabilities. c. Execution Support: Provide on-site technical support during first-scale-up batches to ensure smooth batch execution and successful scale-up. d. Post-Batch Reporting: Prepare detailed manufacturing batch reports and share learnings with stakeholders for future improvements.3. Safety, Compliance & Investigationa. Safety Leadership: Ensure zero violations related to EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) standards at the workplace. b. Deviation Management: Participate in investigations for deviations, identify root causes, propose CAPA, and ensure implementation. c. Regulatory Support: Ensure compliance with internal and regulatory guidelines during process development and transfer activities.4. Team Coordination & Knowledge Sharinga. Team Management: Assign roles and responsibilities to subordinates according to their technical competencies. b. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Production, QA/QC, EHS, and Engineering teams for seamless technology transfer and scale-up. c. Continuous Learning: Contribute to process improvement discussions and knowledge-sharing sessions to build organizational capability
