We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Scrum Master to lead agile teams focused on delivering solutions on the ServiceNow platform. This role is pivotal in driving agile maturity, ensuring delivery excellence, and aligning platform capabilities with business goals. The Scrum Master will serve as a leader, coach, and facilitator for one or more ServiceNow development teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Agile Facilitation Team Leadership
- Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies: Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
- Coach team members on Agile principles and practices to foster a high-performing, self-organizing team.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and accountability.
- Track and report team metrics (velocity, burndown, throughput) to stakeholders.
ServiceNow Platform Alignment
- Work with Development Lead Platform Architect to ensure development efforts align with ServiceNow best practices and platform governance.
- Collaborate with ServiceNow technical leaders and developers to manage technical debt and platform upgrades.
- Support the implementation of ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, HAM, SAM, VRE, SPC and other ServiceNow modules as needed.
Stakeholder Engagement Delivery Management
- Work closely with Ameriprise LOB Product Owners to refine and prioritize the backlog.
- Facilitate effective communication between technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Manage cross-team dependencies and coordinate with other Scrum Masters and delivery leads.
- Ensure timely delivery of features and enhancements with high quality and user satisfaction.
Operational Excellence
- Identify and remove impediments that hinder team progress.
- Drive adoption of Agile tools (Jira , ServiceNow) and ensure accurate tracking of work.
- Support release planning and coordination across multiple ServiceNow environments.
- Monitor and mitigate risks related to delivery timelines, scope, and resource availability.
Agile Transformation Coaching
- Champion Agile practices across the organization and contribute to Agile Center of Excellence (if applicable).
- Mentor junior Scrum Masters and contribute to scaling Agile practices across teams.
Team Capacity Management
- Evaluate track team capacity and ensure alignment of capacity to work demands
- Work with team leadership to ensure we don t overcommit to work we don t have the capacity to deliver.
Compliance Documentation
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, security standards, and audit requirements.
- Maintain documentation of team processes, sprint outcomes, and lessons learned.
Required Experience Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification.
- 8-12 years of total IT work experience with 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master in an enterprise environment.
- 2+ years of experience working with the ServiceNow platform.
- Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe).
- Excellent facilitation, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Experience with Agile tools (e. g. , Jira, Service Now ).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with ITIL framework and best practices.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
