Technical Specialist - Network & Security

As a Managed Security Services Engineer, you will be responsible for completing a thorough risk assessment, identifying vulnerabilities within a network, and creating firewalls, or configuring systems to enhance existing security features. You must be proficient in responding to, and documenting, any security threats, resolving technical faults, and allocating resources to deliver real solutions in a cost-effective way. Key Responsibilities: - Direct experience in planning and implementing an enterprise perimeter security infrastructure. - Maintaining the regulatory systems regarding ISMS policy (Information System Management Systems). - Deploying, testing, and maintaining security systems such as VPNs, firewalls, and email security in line with the IT security policy. - Ensuring that hardware and software are well maintained and able to deal with security requirements. - Experience with performing root cause analysis, risk identification, and risk mitigation. - Experience providing Cyber Security continuous monitoring configuration and support. - Generating performance and failure reports from a range of monitoring activities. - Experience with configuration and administration of Network Management Systems (NMS) to provide real-time alerting, notification, and reporting of network and performance and security compliance. - Strong analytical-reasoning and problem-solving skills. - An ability to learn new technologies quickly. - Good time management skills. - An ability to follow processes. - Strong documentation skills. - Good communication skills both written and verbal.
