Job Summary:

We are seeking a technically proficient and customer-focused Metallurgist to join our organisation who has to be the face of Arjas before the customer. The ideal candidate will act as a critical link between the Sales team, Customers and the Plant, ensuring seamless communication and execution of all technical aspects related to product development, customer support and quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for New Product Development and support in New Business Development. Play active role in New Business Development from feasibility review to samples submission.
• Conduct Manufacturing Feasibility Review (TDC Analysis Sheet) of upcoming enquiries.
• Collaborate with QA to attend and resolve customer complaints, including review and feedback on investigation reports.
• Participate in CCIR (Customer Complaint Investigation Report) and CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) discussions with Plant and Customers.
• Coordinate and Review with Plant QA for PPAP, Samples, New enquiries, improvement and internal rejections
• Lead and document weekly reviews on all development activities including new customers, OEMs, and product introductions
• Oversee Customer Audits / Visits, Visit to Customer premises for NPD / Customer complaint resolution.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Metallurgy or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in SBQ and with strong knowledge of SBQ (Special Bar Quality) and automotive customer requirements.
• Experience working with OEMs and Tier-1 automotive suppliers.
• Ability to manage cross-functional teams and drive technical discussions.
• Hands-on exposure to metallurgical testing and analysis.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to analyse data and make data-driven decisions.
• Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
