Job Summary:

Technical Sales Manager with strong leadership skills

This role will be pivotal in aligning sales strategies with business objectives, building customer trust, and leading a high-performing sales force focused on solution-oriented selling of capital machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales Leadership & Strategy:

  • Develop and execute regional/national sales strategies aligned with company goals.
  • Lead, coach, and manage a team of sales engineers and executives.
  • Set sales targets, monitor team KPIs, and ensure consistent achievement of monthly/quarterly targets.
  • Drive the adoption of CRM and sales process discipline across the team.
  • Identify new markets, customer segments, and strategic partnership opportunities.

Technical Sales & Customer Engagement:

  • Conduct client meetings, site visits, and technical presentations to understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate CNC solutions.
  • Advise clients on product specifications, machine selection, and integration based on application needs (Turning, Milling, VMC, HMC, etc.).
  • Collaborate with design, application, and production teams to offer customized solutions.
  • Drive technical proposal development, costing, and commercial negotiations.

Business Development:

  • Expand the company’s footprint into new industries and geographies.
  • Build strong long-term relationships with key accounts, OEMs, and channel partners.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and customer seminars.

Market Intelligence & Reporting:

  • Analyze market trends, competitor offerings, and customer feedback.
  • Provide regular reports to senior management on sales performance, forecasts, and market developments.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through post-sales follow-ups and coordination with service teams.

Qualifications:

  • Education:

    B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical / Production / Mechatronics Engineering (MBA in Marketing or Business is an added advantage)
  • Experience:

    3+ years in technical sales, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role in CNC machine tools or industrial automation

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • In-depth technical knowledge of CNC machines (Turning Centers, VMC, HMC, 5-Axis, etc.)
  • Proven leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities
  • Strong business acumen and solution-oriented sales mindset
  • CRM, data-driven sales planning, and forecasting experience
  • Willingness to travel extensively (domestic/international)
