Role Overview

Technical Project Manager

 

Key Roles & Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive 

    project plans

    , including scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and dependencies.
  • Coordinate internal teams and external partners to ensure 

    successful project execution

    .
  • Manage 

    project budgets

    , track costs, control expenditures, and ensure financial transparency.
  • Monitor project progress, identify 

    risks and issues

    , and implement mitigation plans; escalate when required.
  • Ensure project deliverables meet 

    quality standards

    , timelines, and agreed scope.
  • Conduct regular 

    project status meetings

    , providing clear updates on milestones, risks, actions, and dependencies.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and outcomes to 

    stakeholders, sponsors, and senior management

    .
  • Build strong, long-term relationships with customers through proactive engagement, value addition, and quality delivery.
  • Participate in 

    business and governance meetings

     with Function/Delivery Heads, including contract reviews, risk assessments, and mitigation planning.
  • Manage 

    change requests

    , negotiate scope adjustments, and drive consensus with stakeholders.
  • Track and forecast project performance, continuously evaluating and adjusting plans to ensure success.
  • Lead and motivate project teams, ensuring alignment with delivery goals and organizational standards.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 12 - 15 years

     of experience in 

    project and program management

    , preferably in a technology-driven environment.
  • Proven ability to manage 

    multiple projects and clients

     in parallel within a fast-paced setup.
  • Strong experience in 

    risk management, issue resolution, and client engagement

    .
  • Excellent 

    verbal and written communication skills

    , with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior leadership.
  • Proficiency in 

    client communication, escalation management, and stakeholder alignment

    .
  • Strong 

    problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills

    .
  • Experience in 

    budget planning, cost tracking, and financial forecasting

    .
  • Strong understanding of 

    Agile / Scrum methodologies

     and modern delivery practices.
  • Ability to operate independently while managing cross-functional and cross-regional teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PMP certification

     (preferred).
  • Experience leading 

    globally distributed teams

    .
  • Exposure to 

    contract management and commercial discussions

    .

Leadership & People Management

  • Ability to evaluate team performance and provide 

    coaching, mentoring, and corrective guidance

     when required.
  • Experience building high-performing teams and driving accountability.

Education

  • Bachelors degree

     in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
