Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient individual to lead our Technical Design and Quality Assurance efforts for Cable Jointing Kits and Accessories. The successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end technical lifecycle of our products, from initial concept and design through rigorous quality testing and continuous improvement. This role also encompasses guiding the team in the preparation of comprehensive technical documentation for daily inquiries and tenders, ensuring accuracy and compliance. This position requires a deep understanding of cable accessory technologies, relevant industry standards, and a strong commitment to delivering world-class quality and technical support. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of new cable jointing kits and accessories, ensuring they meet market demands, customer specifications, and relevant industry standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE, IS).
• Optimize existing product designs for performance, cost-effectiveness, manufacturability, and ease of installation.
• Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and design reviews for new product initiatives.
• Establish, implement, and maintain a comprehensive Quality Management System (QMS) specifically tailored for cable jointing kits and accessories.
• Develop and oversee all quality control procedures, inspection plans, and testing protocols for raw materials, in-process components, and finished products.
• Lead and manage the quality assurance team, providing mentorship, training, and performance evaluations.
• Guide the technical team in the preparation of accurate, clear, and comprehensive technical documents for day-to-day inquiries, customer specifications, and complex tender submissions. 

Technical Expertise:

• In-depth knowledge of various cable jointing technologies (e.g., heat shrink, cold shrink, push-on, resin cast) and their applications for low, medium, and high voltage cables.
• Strong understanding of material science relevant to cable accessories (e.g., polymers, elastomers, insulation materials, conductors).
• Familiarity with relevant international standards such as IEC 60502, IEC 60055, IEEE 386, IS 13573, etc.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor) and simulation tools.
• Proven experience in implementing and managing Quality Management Systems (e.g., ISO 9001).
• Expertise in various quality tools and methodologies (e.g., FMEA, 8D, SPC, Six Sigma).
