TECHNICAL HEAD-Carpentary work

Job Summary:

The Technical Head will oversee all technical aspects of carpentry operations, ensuring the highest standards of quality, precision, and efficiency in woodwork production. This role involves supervising carpenters and technicians, providing technical guidance, implementing modern carpentry techniques, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the carpentry team, assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
• Provide technical expertise in woodwork, joinery, furniture making, and custom carpentry projects.
• Review technical drawings, blueprints, and client requirements, ensuring accurate execution.
• Ensure optimal utilization of tools, machines (cutting, drilling, shaping, CNC if available), and raw materials.
• Develop and implement quality control measures to maintain high workmanship standards.
• Train and mentor carpenters, upskilling them in advanced techniques and safe practices.
• Oversee installation works at sites, ensuring timely and defect-free execution.
• Troubleshoot technical issues, suggest innovative carpentry solutions, and improve production processes.
• Coordinate with project managers, designers, and clients to meet project specifications.
• Ensure adherence to safety regulations and workshop discipline.
• Prepare progress reports, cost estimates, and material requirements for projects.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong expertise in carpentry, joinery, furniture making, and wood finishing.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Knowledge of modern carpentry machinery, tools, and techniques.
• Leadership and team management skills.
• Problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and quality standards.
• Good communication and coordination skills.

Qualification & Experience:

• Diploma/Degree in Wood Technology, Carpentry, Civil/Interior Works, or related field (preferred).
• 7–12 years of experience in carpentry and woodworking, with at least 3–5 years in a supervisory/leadership role.
• Experience in handling large-scale furniture/interior carpentry projects will be an added advantage.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹75,000.00 per month
