Job Summary:

The Technical Engineer will be responsible for end-to-end execution, supervision, and technical support for solar power projects including design, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of solar systems (rooftop / ground-mounted).

Key Responsibilities:

Project Execution & Supervision:

Oversee on-site installation, testing, and commissioning of solar systems.

Ensure timely completion of projects as per design and quality standards.

Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams.

Design & Technical Support:

Prepare single line diagrams (SLD) and layout drawings.

Conduct site feasibility studies and load analysis.

Support in inverter selection, string sizing, and component compatibility.

Maintenance & Troubleshooting:

Handle preventive and corrective maintenance of solar plants.

Diagnose faults in PV systems and ensure quick resolution.

Monitor system performance using data loggers and software tools.

Documentation & Reporting:

Maintain project documentation drawings, reports, and test certificates.

Prepare commissioning and maintenance reports.

Assist in preparing BOQ and technical proposals.

Safety & Compliance:

Ensure adherence to electrical safety standards and quality guidelines.

Comply with MNRE and DISCOM norms for solar installations.

Skills & Competencies:

Strong knowledge of solar PV systems, inverters, and electrical connections.

Familiar with AutoCAD, PVsyst, MS Office, and electrical testing tools.

Good communication and team coordination skills.

Ability to work on-site and travel to project locations.

Preferred Experience:

Experience in rooftop/ground-mounted solar project execution (1kW to MW scale).

Exposure to net metering and DISCOM approval processes.
