JOB

The incumbent will support the firm's M&A and strategic investment agenda across its financial services businesses, contributing to portfolio strategy and execution of value-accretive transactions. They will work closely with senior leadership to evaluate opportunities and drive disciplined capital deployment in support of long-term growth objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Qualified Chartered Accountant/ MBA (Top tier institutes)

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND

  • 4+ years of relevant experience, preferably in lending organisations.
  • Background in M&A, corporate development, private equity & investment banking. Experience of executing deals in the financial sector will be an added advantage.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (including modelling) and PowerPoint is critical.
  • Outstanding track record of academic achievement.
  • Broad financial acumen including a strong foundation in corporate finance principles.
  • Good communication and negotiations skills, analytical & logical, multi-tasking abilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support in refining and implementing the M&A strategy for the groups financial services business.
  • Facilitate end to end execution of M&A, investments, and other strategic initiatives.
  • Develop a good understanding of businesses across verticals. Collaborate with the leadership team to debate on portfolio gaps and ideal acquisition targets.
  • Develop detailed landscape assessment, evaluation and identification of potential targets and transactions.
  • Work efficiently on deliverables that includes a strong narrative explaining detailed financial and valuation models, while developing compelling decks.
  • Handle and coordinate interactions with all stakeholders and advisors, and be involved in working through in-depth due diligence processes.
  • Work closely with all advisors and stakeholders to ensure time-bound closure of the activities and the transactions.
  • Support the organisation for post deal integration and business case realization.
