Job Description

Job Summary:

The Assistant Manager Quality Assurance will be responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and enforcement of quality standards and processes across products, services, and systems. This role ensures that products and services meet both internal and external requirements, including legal compliance and customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining QA systems, standards, and procedures.
  • Conduct regular quality audits, inspections, and process checks to ensure compliance with established standards (e.g., ISO, GMP, Six Sigma).
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Production, R&D, Supply Chain, etc.) to identify quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Monitor product and process quality metrics and KPIs, analyzing data to identify trends or areas for improvement.
  • Train and mentor QA team members on quality procedures, policies, and tools.
  • Assist in handling customer complaints and non-conformance reports (NCRs), ensuring timely resolution.
  • Support internal and external audits, including customer and regulatory inspections.
  • Ensure documentation control and upkeep of quality manuals, SOPs, batch records, and other relevant QA documentation.
  • Assist in risk assessments and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product reliability and customer satisfaction.
  • Stay updated on relevant quality regulations, industry standards, and best practices.

Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, Pharmacy, or related field. (Master’s degree preferred)

Experience:

  • 4–6 years of experience in Quality Assurance or a related function.
  • Experience in [industry-specific QA practices, e.g., pharmaceutical GMP, software testing, or manufacturing QA].

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and techniques.
  • Proficiency in quality standards such as ISO 9001, GMP, Six Sigma, etc.
  • Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems (QMS) and software tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications such as Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, ISO Lead Auditor, or equivalent.
  • Experience with ERP/QMS tools (e.g., SAP, TrackWise, MasterControl).
