Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and provide guidance, training, and performance feedback to a team of network engineers, including graduates and interns.
• Oversee network design, provisioning, and operational activities, ensuring adherence to SLAs, project timelines, and technical standards.
• Review, approve, or modify network architecture, configurations, and documentation for accuracy and quality.
• Manage resource allocation, workload distribution, and project prioritisation to ensure timely delivery.
• Monitor team performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and act as the escalation point for technical and operational challenges.
• Coordinate with internal teams (sales, support, field engineers) and external vendors to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Facilitate workshops to define project specifications and create detailed execution plans.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, process optimisation, automation, and knowledge sharing within the team.
• Prepare, maintain, and review documentation, reports, pre-check/post-checklists, and performance trackers.
• Draft proposals, reports, and updates for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring timely communication.
• Ensure compliance with WHS, Quality, Environmental, and Security policies, as well as internal and customer standards.
• Stay updated on emerging networking technologies, industry best practices, and implement improvements within the team.

Qualifications & Technical Skills

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related field (preferred).
• 610 years of experience in network engineering, with at least 23 years in a lead/mentoring capacity.
• Hands-on expertise with Juniper, Cisco, Alcatel, Huawei routers and switches.
• Strong knowledge of Carrier Ethernet, MPLS, OSPF/IS-IS, BGP, VPNs (L2VPN, L3VPN), VLAN, QoS, Segment Routing.
• Familiarity with network provisioning, capacity planning, SDH networks, IP voice products.
• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel and documentation tools.
