What You ll Do on a Typical Day
  • Leading and mentoring an operation team of event managers, meeting planners, coordinators
  • Manage multiple meetings individually and support / coach the meeting planners and coordinators to complete events and meeting programs to delivery best result
  • End-to-End Meeting Services includes, but is not limited to:
  • Ongoing key client contact act as the key client contact for the operation team including proposal creation and presentation, contracting, regular WIP reviews, ongoing engagement and blocking issue as needed
  • Source, Negotiate, Contract and Manage all vendors / suppliers for the meeting on client s behalf and ensuring quality services at efficient rates
  • Build and Manage critical path for event(s) including key dates internally and externally
  • Build, design and manage all aspects of the program (F&B, activities, transport, theme etc.,)
  • Facilitate all supplier payments including regular reporting on fund movements
  • Build and manage the initial, negotiated, working and final budgets throughout the program in an accurate and timely manner
  • Meet all deliverables, SLA s and compliance policies, both internally and externally
  • Maintain served stakeholder engagement for overall program performance
  • Prepare and Present regular account updates to both the program manager and client, including but not limited to: Program Dash boards, Team Quarterly Review, etc.
  • Promote Amex M&E preferred meeting suppliers, achieve preferred supplier adoption rate
What We re looking for
  • Diploma or Degree or equivalent experience in hospitality, tourism, marketing or a related field
  • Minimum 10 years validated Corporate Meeting or Event Management experience preferably in serving multinational healthcare or professional service or financial industry customer.
  • Strong leadership and coaching experience to lead teams physically or virtually.
  • Ability to work with the corporate clients to develop complex programs, including destination selection, site inspections, negotiations, costing and onsite management through final billing.
  • Ability to work within budgetary parameters, meeting critical deadlines, and handle multiple projects.
  • Excellent communication skills, written, oral and interpersonal are crucial with ability and present and engage at a senior customer level.
  • Consistent track record in account management roles in addition to Operations is considered an advantage.
  • Knowledge / Experience in Group Air, Transient Ticketing considered an advantage.
  • Candidate should be flexible, detail oriented and able to work under pressure.
  • Proficient in Microsoft software including Word, Excel and PowerPoint applications.
  • Proficient in Events Software, i.e., Cvent, Meetings Central or similar
  • Estimated travel approximately 40%
