Job Description – Team Leader (Accounts, Audit & Taxation)

Position Summary

We are seeking a Team Leader to manage and supervise a team handling accounting, audit, taxation, and compliance assignments. The role involves end-to-end ownership of client deliverables, team coordination, review of work, and ensuring timely and accurate compliance. The ideal candidate should combine strong technical knowledge with people-management and process orientation.

Eligibility / Qualifications

• Chartered Accountant (CA) with 2–3 years of post-qualification experience

OR

• CA Inter with 5–6 years of relevant experience

OR

• MBA (Finance) with 7–8 years of relevant experience

Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical & Client Responsibilities

• Review and finalize Books of Accounts, MIS, and financial statements
• Lead Statutory Audit, Tax Audit, Internal Audit and related assignments
• Oversee GST compliances – returns, reconciliations, notices, audits
• Supervise Income Tax compliances – returns, TDS, assessments, notices
• Handle client communication independently and resolve queries professionally
• Ensure adherence to applicable laws, standards, and firm processes

Team Management

• Allocate work to team members and monitor progress
• Review work done by Articles, Executives, and Seniors
• Mentor and train juniors on technical and process aspects
• Ensure timely delivery of assignments with quality control

Process & Reporting

• Implement and monitor checklists, SOPs, and timelines
• Escalate critical issues to Partners proactively
• Assist Partners in planning workloads and improving efficiency

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of Accounting, GST, Income Tax, and Audit
• Experience working in a CA firm environment preferred
• Good command over Excel, accounting software (Zoho/Tally)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Leadership mindset with ability to handle pressure and deadlines
• Disciplined, process-oriented, and solution-focused approach

Pay: ₹1,100,000.00 - ₹1,400,000.00 per year
