Team Lead- Laytime

As a Team Lead - Laytime at Bunge, your role involves keeping track of Demurrage/Despatch files of team members, monitoring daily emails and ad-hoc requests from Freight and Commercial teams. You will be responsible for reviewing fixture terms related to Demurrage, Detention, and Despatch Clauses, calculating amounts due for marine shipments, and ensuring compliance with internal and external policies. Being computer proficient and adaptable to shipping software is essential, along with strong customer orientation and relationship-building skills. **Key Responsibilities:** - Keep track of Laytime files of team members and take necessary actions for file closures - Monitor outstanding demurrage/despatch collections, Laytime calculation, control, and settlement - Analyze charter parties and voyage documents, and collaborate with trade execution and freight departments - Invoice customers with full documentation, monitor collections, and perform cash application - Produce and retain documentation as per policies and procedures - Review counterparty claims and disputes, and liaise with internal and external parties for correct calculations **Qualifications Required:** - Post Graduate preferably in Shipping & Logistics field - Minimum 6-8 years of experience in laytime, international logistics, or related field - Minimum 1-2 years of experience in team leadership - Good understanding of contracts, charter parties, and laytime/demurrage provisions - Knowledge of marine and terminal operations, preferred - Proficiency in written and verbal English and computer skills (SAP, MS Office) Bunge, a world leader in sourcing and supplying oilseed and grain products, aims to create sustainable products and opportunities for farmers and consumers globally.
