About the Role

We are looking for aUS Tax Resolution & Compliance Specialistto assist businesses withtax penalty abatements, compliance issues, and IRS/state tax resolutions. The role involveshandling tax fines, filing abatement requests, negotiating with tax agencies, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Review and resolve tax penaltiesissued by IRS, state, and local tax agencies.
Prepare & submit penalty abatement requests(e.g., IRS Form 843).
Communicate with US tax authoritiesto negotiate waivers and resolve disputes.
Gather and submit supporting documentationfor appeals and compliance cases.
Stay updated onUS tax laws, penalty relief programs, and filing regulations.
Track & follow upon cases to ensure timely resolution.

What You Need

Bachelor s degreein Accounting, Finance, or related field.
1 5 yearsof experience inUS tax compliance, penalty resolution, or tax processing.
Familiarity withIRS and state tax laws, filing procedures, and penalty waivers.
Proficiency in tax software(Drake, TurboTax, ProSeries) & Microsoft Office.
Strongproblem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
