Job Description

Role Summary:
The Tandoor Commis 1 supports the tandoor section by preparing, cooking, and presenting tandoor dishes while maintaining high standards of quality, hygiene, and safety. They work under the guidance of the Tandoor Chef or Sous Chef.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and cook tandoor items such as naan, roti, kebabs, and tandoori dishes
Assist the Tandoor Chef in daily kitchen operations
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the tandoor section
Prepare marinades, dough, and mise en place
Monitor tandoor temperature and cooking times
Follow food safety and hygiene standards
Store food properly and reduce wastage
Support senior chefs during service
Handle basic knife and kitchen equipment safely

Required Skills & Qualifications

Basic knowledge of Indian tandoor cooking
Ability to work in a hot and fast-paced environment
Understanding of food safety and hygiene
Teamwork and communication skills
Willingness to learn and follow instructions
Prior kitchen or tandoor experience preferred

Work Environment

Restaurants, hotels, or catering kitchens
Shift work including weekends and holidays
High-temperature cooking environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
