Job Description

Role Summary:
The Tandoor Commis 1 assists in preparing and cooking tandoor dishes while maintaining high standards of quality, hygiene, and safety. They work under the supervision of the Tandoor Chef or Chef de Partie.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and cook tandoor items such as naan, roti, kulcha, kebabs, and tandoori dishes
Prepare marinades, dough, and mise en place for the tandoor section
Assist senior chefs during service operations
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the tandoor area
Monitor tandoor temperature and cooking times
Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times
Store food properly and reduce wastage
Handle kitchen tools and equipment safely
Support smooth kitchen operations

Required Skills & Qualifications

Basic knowledge of tandoor cooking techniques
Ability to work in a high-temperature kitchen environment
Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
Teamwork and communication skills
Willingness to learn and follow instructions
Prior experience in a tandoor kitchen preferred

Work Environment

Restaurants, hotels, or catering kitchens
Shift-based work including weekends and holidays
Fast-paced and physically demanding environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
