Tandoor Chef (CDP) – Job DescriptionPosition Summary

The Tandoor Chef (CDP) is responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of Indian dishes, especially those requiring tandoor techniques. This role involves managing a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring food quality, maintaining hygiene standards, and mentoring junior staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook authentic Indian and Tandoori dishes to high standards.
• Operate and maintain the tandoor oven, ensuring optimal temperature and safety.
• Marinate meats and vegetables using traditional Indian spices and techniques.
• Manage a section of the kitchen and coordinate with the Sous Chef.
• Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are strictly followed.
• Assist in menu planning and development of new tandoor-based dishes.
• Monitor inventory and order supplies for the tandoor section.
• Train and guide junior chefs and kitchen helpers in tandoor cooking.

Qualifications & Skills

• Proven experience as a CDP or similar role in an Indian kitchen.
• Expertise in tandoor cooking and Indian culinary techniques.
• Culinary diploma or equivalent certification.
• Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Team leadership and collaboration skills.

Work Environment

• Fast-paced hospitality or restaurant setting.
• Requires standing for long hours and working near high heat.
• May involve split shifts, weekends, and holiday work.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From ₹30,000.00 per month
