Job Description – Tableau Trainer & Technical Coach (Full-Time)

Type: Full-Time Contract

Location: Kolkata (preferred) or Remote

Client: Large FMCG Company

Experience Required:-

⁠ ⁠Minimum 5+ years of hands-on Tableau experience (Tableau Desktop, Tableau Server,

Tableau Prep).

⁠ ⁠Proven experience as a Tableau Trainer or Tableau Coach for developers.

⁠ ⁠Experience in both basic and advanced Tableau features (calculated fields, LOD

expressions, data blending, joins, parameters, advanced charts).

⁠ ⁠Experience in reviewing and improving dashboards for accuracy, speed, and design.

⁠ ⁠Preferably worked in sales and marketing analytics; FMCG experience is a plus.

Role Summary

This is a hands-on role where the candidate will be working closely with the vendor team

day-to-day.

We are looking for an experienced Tableau Trainer & Technical Coach to:

1.⁠ ⁠Train vendor team members (especially juniors) to confidently use all Tableau features.

2.⁠ ⁠Guide them in building better dashboards for sales and marketing analytics.

3.⁠ ⁠Check and improve dashboards before they are delivered to the company.

Main Responsibilities

1.⁠ ⁠Basic Training

⁠ ⁠Teach all main Tableau features, including chart types (e.g., butterfly charts), filters,

parameters, calculated fields, and dashboard layouts.

⁠ ⁠Show how to connect Tableau to Excel, SQL, and other data sources.

2.⁠ ⁠Advanced Training

⁠ ⁠Teach advanced features such as LOD calculations, data blending, joins, parameters,

and dynamic filtering.

⁠ ⁠Explain how to improve dashboard performance for large datasets.

3.⁠ ⁠Project Support

⁠ ⁠Guide the vendor team while they work on real dashboard projects.

⁠ ⁠Suggest design and storytelling improvements.

4.⁠ ⁠Quality Review

⁠ ⁠Check dashboards for correctness, performance, and proper use of features.

⁠ ⁠Ensure dashboards meet company expectations before delivery.

Contract Details

Duration: Full-time contract (length to be discussed).

Location: Kolkata preferred; remote possible.

Deliverables:

1.⁠ ⁠Vendor team trained to confidently use Tableau’s full feature set.

2.⁠ ⁠Dashboards reviewed and improved before delivery to the company.
