Make your mark at one of the biggest names in payments. We re looking for a Systems Administrator Senior to join our ever-evolving Citrix and Developer Desktop Solutions team and help us unleash the potential of every business.

What you ll own as - Systems Administrator Senior

Provide senior engineering solutions experience to the Citrix and Developer Desktop Solutions team.
Design and creation of standard engineered builds for Linux developer virtual on-prem and cloud machines.
Automate the patching of our Linux Developer Desktop estate in line with security policies and guidelines.
Capacity planning and automated capacity reporting across the developer desktop estate.
Review incidents to determine improvements and changes to the developer solution.
Escalation and support for wider Developer Desktop support function.
Produce and maintain relevant technical and operational documentation.

What you ll bring

7 Years; RedHat Enterprise Linux / Oracle Enterprise Linux
4 Years; Scripting and packaging skills, and familiarity with automation and management tools such as Bash and Ansible
Engineering and implementation of infrastructure solutions.
Experience of engineering standard builds for one or more of the technologies described above
Experience of working with Linux in an enterprise integrated, virtualised, mixed OS environment.

It s a bonus if you have

Experience within the financial services industry.
Recent hands-on experience with the following multiple technologies:
Terraform
AWS
Python
Packer
Experience of ITIL service delivery frameworks.
Usage of development tooling such as Git, Jenkins and Jira or Confluence.
Experience of VM hosting infrastructure such as VMware ESXi
Experience of administering Linux in a secure environment in a financial institution with regulatory constraints, such as PCI DSS Compliance.

The Citrix and Developer Desktop Solutions team provides the WP Merchant development teams with the strategic developer desktop offerings. This is a desktop environment where the developers run their IDE tooling, writing, testing and troubleshooting code. One of the key services offered are developer focused Red Hat Linux machines. These are VDI hosted, located in our strategic cloud and on-prem global data centres and are currently used by the teams in the UK, US, India and Romania. The Citrix and Developer Desktop team requires a Senior Linux Engineer to provide expertise on the current and future Linux developer endpoint solutions.
