System Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Provide technical support for desktop/laptop hardware, operating systems, and standard business applications
• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues, both remotely and on-site
• Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals
• Manage OS installations, upgrades, patches, and antivirus updates
• Provide user support for Windows OS, MS Office, email, and collaboration tools
• Handle basic network troubleshooting (LAN, Wi-Fi, VPN connectivity)Log, track, and resolve incidents and service requests using ticketing tools
• Coordinate with vendors for hardware repair and warranty support
• Maintain IT asset inventory and documentation
• Ensure adherence to IT policies, security standards, and best practices
• Assist with system rollouts, upgrades, and user onboarding/offboarding

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelors degree or diploma in Computer Science, IT, or related field 3-4 years of experience in desktop/system support (experience level can be adjusted)
• Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and desktop hardware
• Experience with troubleshooting hardware, software, and peripheral devices
• Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
• Familiarity with Active Directory, user account management, and group policies
• Good communication skills

Preferred Skills (Good to Have)

• Experience with ticketing tools such as ServiceNow, Freshservice, or Jira
• Exposure to Office 365, Exchange, or cloud-based tools
• Knowledge of ITIL processes
• Basic scripting or automation skills
