System Engineer

Role and Responsibilities

• Lead SCCM (Config Mgr) patching cycles and manage Ring1, Ring2, and Ring3 deployment architectures. 
• Perform SCCM administration, including upgrades, maintenance, distribution point health, and content management.  
• Oversee OS patching and upcoming initiatives such as Windows 10 LTSB (EOL) migration to LTSC/LTSBC for store and corporate devices.
• Deploy, remove, and update applications using Microsoft SCCM Software Center. 
• Package installers, validate compatibility, and manage update schedules for enterprise applications. 
• Support Java uninstall and migration to OpenJDK, ensuring devicelevel compatibility.
• Support and maintain PrinterLogic, including updating printer drivers and migrating configurations. 
• Manage and troubleshoot Zebra Print Manager solutions for store and warehouse devices.Use enterprise tools to monitor print performance, resolve issues, and move printers across different subnets during network changes
• Assist in the administration and deployment of policies, profiles, and compliance rules in Microsoft Intune. 
• Support Microsoft Defender deployments, including adhoc package pushes and device remediation requests. 
• Implement changes in Group Policy Objects (GPOs) using Group Policy Management Console.
• For Store users need to support for GSuite and Chromebooks, including OS updates and device enrolment.
• Participate in store and corporate endpoint technology rollouts, system builds, and certification processes. 
• Collaborate with Spencer Tech on standing up new device builds and validating configurations. 
• Create and maintain build documentation, images, and deployment processes.
• Resolve tickets and incidents related to endpoints, applications, printers, and store hardware. 
• Perform rootcause analysis and work toward reducing recurring issues. 
• Maintain accurate device compliance, inventory, and reporting through SCCM and Intune.

Required Skills

• 46 years of experience in EndUser Computing, Desktop Engineering, or Endpoint Administration. 
• Strong handson experience with SCCM/ConfigMgr, patching, packaging, and deployment rings. 
• Expertise with Windows 10/11, LTSC, imaging, provisioning, and upgrades. 
•  Experience with enterprise printing platforms including PrinterLogic and Zebra printers. 
• Working knowledge of Active Directory, GPO management, and Microsoft Intune/Endpoint Manager. 
• Familiarity with GSuite and Chromebook device administration.

Preferred Skills

• Retail or storeenvironment support experience. 
• PowerShell scripting for automation and troubleshooting. 
•  Certifications: MD100/MD101, SCCM/MDM certifications, or equivalent..
