System Administrator - Windows Server

Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage and support Windows Server environments with a strong focus on file servers and storage operations.
• Handle Network Share Drive creation, maintenance, and access configuration.
• Perform drive expansion activities, implement changes, and monitor capacity.
• Implement user requests such as share creation (CIFS/NFS) and permission updates.
• Manage Active Directory tasks including user/group administration, group policies, and security permissions.
• Manage Outlook Distribution Lists (DL) creation, updates, and troubleshooting.
• Apply permissions to share drives, including granting/revoking access and handling unique access scenarios for user data.
• Recreate and troubleshoot Roaming Profiles and Citrix Profiles.
• Perform PST mapping, user data transfers, and folder migrations.
• Work within ITIL processes for Incident Management and Change Management.
• Coordinate with users, approvers, and internal teams to fulfill service requests with clear communication and timely updates.
  

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server administration, especially with file servers.
• Solid knowledge of Active Directory (user/group management, group policies, permissions).
• Understanding of file/folder permission delegation, NTFS permissions, and share-level access.
• Familiarity with CIFS/NFS share creation and management.
• Experience with approval workflows, ticketing systems, and change requests.
• Good communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills for user interaction and requirement gathering.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues related to roaming profiles, Citrix profiles, and data access
