System Administrator (IT Admin)

The System Administrator is responsible for maintaining the school’s IT infrastructure, ensuring smooth functioning of computers, network, servers, smart classrooms, ERP systems, and providing timely technical support to staff and students.

Key ResponsibilitiesIT Infrastructure Management

• Install, maintain, and monitor computers, servers, printers, and other IT equipment.
• Manage LAN, Wi-Fi, internet connectivity, and network security within campus.
• Ensure uninterrupted functioning of smart boards, projectors, and digital classrooms.

ERP & Software Support

• Manage school ERP, attendance, examination, and fee management systems.
• Provide technical support to teaching and non-teaching staff for ERP usage.
• Update software, operating systems, and licensed applications.

Data, Security & Backup

• Ensure regular data backup of academic, administrative, and financial data.
• Implement antivirus, firewall, and data security measures.
• Monitor user access, passwords, and system security policies.

User Support & Troubleshooting

• Provide day-to-day IT support to teachers, admin staff, and labs.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues promptly.
• Maintain IT helpdesk records and resolutions.

IT Procurement & Vendor Coordination

• Coordinate with vendors for hardware, software, AMC, and internet services.
• Assist management in IT asset planning and procurement.
• Maintain inventory of IT assets and licenses.

Compliance & Documentation

• Ensure IT practices comply with board, government, and data-privacy guidelines.
• Maintain system documentation, network diagrams, and user manuals.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of Windows OS, basic Linux (preferred)
• Networking basics (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, routers, switches)
• School ERP and smart classroom systems
• Hardware troubleshooting and system maintenance
• Good communication and user-support skills

Qualifications

• Diploma / Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
• Certification in Networking or System Administration is an advantage
