Job Description

As the Model/Anlys/Valid Group Manager, you will be responsible for managing complex, critical, and large professional disciplinary areas. You will lead and direct a team of professionals, requiring a comprehensive understanding of multiple areas within a function and how they interact to achieve the function's objectives. Your strong commercial awareness is crucial as you will be accountable for delivering a full range of services to one or more businesses or geographic regions. Excellent communication skills are necessary for negotiating internally, often at a senior level, with some external communication required. You will be held accountable for the end results of your area, with control over resources, policy formulation, and planning. Your primary focus will be on short- to medium-term planning of actions and resources for your area. **Key Responsibilities:** - Developing, enhancing, and validating methods of measuring and analyzing risk for all risk types, including market, credit, and operational risks. - Developing, validating, and strategizing the use of scoring models and related policies. - Overseeing model development, validation, and deployment efforts to advance Risk Management methodology and integrate models into business decisions and planning. - Managing annual quantitative and qualitative assessments and submissions, working with large datasets and complex algorithms to solve data science challenges. - Leveraging big data to develop innovative deployable solutions and introducing cutting-edge model techniques to drive profitability through innovation. - Assisting in process automation to improve process efficiencies and compliance with internal and external guidelines. - Collaborating with Risk and Decision Management organizations to understand new data sources and improve the process of defining, extracting, and utilizing new data. - Providing leadership and guidance for junior modelers to assess risk in business decisions and drive compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations. **Qualifications Required:** - At least 10 years of experience in the field. - Sound knowledge of statistical modeling concepts and industry best practices. - Experience with econometric and statistical modeling or application risk scoring. - Excellent quantitative and analytic skills. - Ability to deliver compelling presentations and influence executive audiences. - Excellent communication skills to engage and inspire your team forward. - Effective cross-functional project, resource, and stakeholder management skills. - Ability to engage with internal audit and external regulators. - Bachelor's or equivalent degree, potentially a Master's degree.
