Suspension & Steering Design Engineer

Job Description

Job Purpose (Significance of the Role Objectives): The Automotive Suspension Steering Design Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and testing suspension and steering systems for automobiles. They will work closely with other engineers, designers, and project managers to ensure that the systems they develop meet the performance, safety, and cost requirements of the project. Key Responsibilities and Deliverables: Design and develop suspension and steering systems for automobiles. Work with other engineers to develop and refine design concepts. Use computer-aided design (CAD) software to create and modify 3D models and 2D drawings of parts and assemblies Perform engineering calculations and simulations to evaluate and optimize design concepts. Participate in design reviews and provide feedback on designs from other team members Create and maintain documentation of design concepts, analysis, and test results Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to source and evaluate components and materials Develop and conduct tests to verify and validate design concepts and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations Analyze test results and make design modifications as necessary. Work with manufacturing engineers to ensure that designs can be efficiently and cost-effectively produced. Communicate project status and technical information to project managers and other stakeholders. Desired Qualifications: Required Qualification, Knowledge, and Experience: Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or a related field. 02 - 04 years of experience in automotive suspension and steering design. Strong proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA). Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to suspension and steering systems. Familiarity with manufacturing processes and materials used in automotive suspension and steering systems. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously Key Competencies: Excellent technical documentation skills are expected. Highest level of integrity.
