Job Description

* Core Job Responsibilities:

1. Site Surveying & Measurements

  • Conduct topographic, boundary, and layout surveys using GPS, total stations, and other instruments.
  • Mark out construction lines and reference points for structures like buildings, roads, and utilities.
  • Verify elevations, contours, and dimensions on-site to ensure design alignment.

2. Pre-Construction Support

  • Interpret and review architectural and engineering drawings, site plans, and specifications.
  • Conduct site feasibility studies and assist in land assessments.
  • Prepare as-built drawings and base maps for planning and approvals.

3. Construction Staking & Layout

  • Set out control points and construction markers for excavation, foundation, utilities, and structural elements.
  • Provide horizontal and vertical control to guide construction accurately.
  • Recheck and adjust control points as work progresses.

4. Monitoring and Documentation

  • Monitor construction progress to ensure alignment with design layouts.
  • Record survey data and create detailed site reports and logs.
  • Update site maps and as-built records throughout the project lifecycle.

5. Collaboration & Coordination

  • Coordinate with project engineers, contractors, and site managers.
  • Communicate survey results and technical data clearly to stakeholders.
  • Ensure survey-related issues are resolved quickly to avoid delays.

6. Quality Assurance & Compliance

  • Ensure all survey work complies with legal regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
  • Conduct periodic re-checks and inspections to maintain dimensional accuracy.
  • Support quality control by identifying any discrepancies in levels, lines, or positions.

7. Equipment Handling & Maintenance

  • Operate, maintain, and calibrate surveying instruments (total stations, levels, GPS, etc.).
  • Maintain accurate logs of equipment usage and service records.

8. Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance

  • Follow safety procedures while working on active construction sites.
  • Identify hazards and report unsafe conditions during fieldwork.

* Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Surveying, or a related field.
  • Proficiency with surveying software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS, etc.).
  • Familiarity with instruments like Total Station, GPS, and Theodolites.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
