Job Description

Develop and implement commodity strategies and manage suppliers.
Perform local sourcing activities to achieve commodity results and ensure compliance with Group Strategy.
Collaborate with global Strategic Sourcing organization to identify business cases for efficient local implementation.
Identify, evaluate, and manage suppliers to procure custom-manufactured components according to engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Prepare and issue Requests for Quotation (RFQs) including necessary drawings and conditions of supply.
Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to secure favorable deals and drive cost reduction initiatives.
Serve as the primary liaison between internal engineering, quality assurance, and production teams and external suppliers to ensure clear communication and alignment on technical requirements and quality standards.
Manage supplier relationships and the entire sourcing lifecycle for assigned parts or commodities, ensuring timely delivery to meet project timelines and production schedules.
Perform cost analysis, benchmarking, and "make versus buy" evaluations to optimize sourcing strategies, identifying potential supply chain risks and developing mitigation plans.
Maintain accurate records of all sourcing activities, supplier information, and contracts within SAP or procurement software systems, preparing reports on cost savings, supplier performance, and market trends for management.

Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Production Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related technical field is required.
Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications is essential.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and material properties is highly valued.
Proven work experience in a sourcing, procurement, or supply chain role within a manufacturing or engineering environment is necessary.
Excellent negotiation and contract management abilities are needed to secure advantageous terms.
Strong data analysis, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills are expected to evaluate suppliers and costs.
Familiarity with SAP S4H and advanced Excel is preferred.
Exposure to SAP S4 Hana is an added advantage.
Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills are desired to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and suppliers.
Advance Excel knowledge is a must.
SAP S4 Hana end user exposure is an added advantage.
Excellent communication skills are desired.
