Supervisor- Production / Maintenance Supervisor /VMC/ GDC

Role & responsibilities

1. Production / Operations Management

• Supervise day-to-day operations of

  VMC, GDC, or Maintenance

  departments.
• Ensure production targets, quality standards, and delivery timelines are achieved.
  
• Monitor machine performance, tool usage, and productivity levels.
  
• Implement best manufacturing practices to minimize downtime and improve efficiency.
  

2. Team Leadership & Workforce Management

• Lead, guide, and manage a team of

  20+ operators/technicians

  .
• Allocate work, plan shifts, and manage manpower for smooth operations.
  
• Provide training on processes, safety, and quality standards.
  
• Conduct performance assessments and support employee development.
  

3. Quality, IATF & ISO Compliance

• Ensure all processes comply with

  IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and company quality protocols

  .
• Assist in internal & external audits, documentation, and corrective actions.
  
• Maintain discipline in following SOPs, work instructions, and quality control checks.
  

4. Maintenance & Troubleshooting

• Oversee preventive and breakdown maintenance of VMC/GDC machinery.
  
• Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure minimal downtime.
  
• Identify recurring issues and implement long-term corrective actions.
  

5. Safety & Continuous Improvement

• Ensure adherence to

  5S, safety rules

  , and workplace hygiene.
• Encourage a culture of continuous improvement (Kaizen, Poka-Yoke, Root Cause Analysis).
  
• Reduce defects, scrap, and rework through structured problem-solving.

Preferred candidate profile

• Graduate (Diploma/BE Mechanical/Production preferred).
  
• Hands-on experience with

  VMC / GDC machines

  or maintenance activity.
• Strong people-handling and team management skills.
  
• Good understanding of

  IATF, ISO, and quality management systems

  .
• Ability to manage workload, solve problems, and meet strict production timelines.
  
• Willingness to work in shifts if required.
