Job Description

You will be responsible for inspecting guest rooms, public areas, and pool after they have been cleaned by Housekeepers to ensure quality standards are met. Additionally, you will run sold room reports, verify room status, identify any discrepant rooms, prioritize room cleaning, and update the status of departing guest rooms. Your role will involve assisting Housekeeping management in daily activities and serving as a liaison to coordinate efforts between Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, and Laundry departments. Moreover, you will document and resolve issues with discrepant rooms in collaboration with the Front Desk, prepare and communicate changes in room assignments, and inform the next shift about any outstanding issues. It will also be part of your duties to complete necessary paperwork. Furthermore, you will assist management in various tasks such as hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees. It is crucial that you adhere to all company, safety, and security policies and procedures, report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries, and complete safety training and certifications. Maintaining a clean and professional appearance, respecting confidentiality, and safeguarding company assets are also important aspects of the role. You will be expected to welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guest service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and express genuine appreciation to guests. Effective communication with colleagues using clear and professional language, developing positive working relationships, and responding appropriately to employee concerns are essential skills. In terms of physical requirements, you should be able to move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing up to 55 pounds without assistance and more than 55 pounds with help. The role may involve pushing and pulling a loaded housekeeping cart and other machinery over sloping and uneven surfaces, reaching overhead and below the knees, bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Standing, sitting, kneeling, or walking for extended periods, grasping, turning, and manipulating objects of varying sizes and weights, as well as using computers and/or point of sale systems to enter and retrieve work-related information are part of the job responsibilities. Reading and verifying information in various formats and performing other reasonable duties as requested by Supervisors are also expected. As a preferred qualification, a High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is required, along with at least 1 year of related work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience. No specific license or certification is necessary for this role.
