Supervisor- Crusher Plant

Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• 1. Production & Operations Management

• Plan, organize, and supervise the production process to achieve targeted output of aggregates.
• Monitor crusher plant parameters (feed size, quality, throughput, screen efficiency).
• Ensure continuous plant operations with minimal downtime.
• Optimize production cost by reducing wastage, fuel consumption, and idle hours.

Equipment & Maintenance Coordination

• Coordinate with maintenance teams for preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance.
• Inspect and monitor performance of crushers, screens, conveyors, feeders, DG sets, loaders, and HEMM.
• Ensure availability of spare parts, tools, and consumables.
• Assist in troubleshooting mechanical issues to avoid production interruptions.

Quality Control & Process Improvement

• Ensure produced aggregates meet required gradation and quality standards.
• Implement process improvements for better efficiency and product consistency.
• Maintain records of production, quality reports, and machine performance.

Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) Compliance

• Enforce safety protocols as per mining, pollution control, and factory regulations.
• Conduct daily toolbox talks and ensure PPE usage.
• Address environmental compliance related to dust suppression, noise control, and waste handling.

Manpower Management

• Supervise operators, technicians, helpers, and support staff.
• Organize shift schedules and manpower allocation.
• Conduct training for plant team on equipment handling, safety, and SOPs.
• Monitor work discipline and performance of team members.

Inventory & Material Management

• Manage stock levels of inputs such as boulders, spares, lubricants, explosive materials (if applicable).
• Ensure proper storage and documentation of materials.

Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly production reports.
• Maintain logbooks, maintenance schedules, and shift reports.
• Coordinate with management for planning, budgeting, and audits.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of crushing plant equipment (Jaw Crusher, Cone Crusher, VSI, HSI, Screens, Conveyors).
• Expertise in plant operations, maintenance coordination, and troubleshooting.
• Understanding of mining/quarrying operations.
• Leadership, communication, and team management skills.
• Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple shifts.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Mining, or Production Engineering.
• 515+ years of experience in crusher plant or mining operations.
• Experience managing 100–1000 TPH plants preferred.
• Familiarity with SAP/ERP and production reporting tools (optional).
