Job Description

About The Role We are seeking a skilled and experienced GemFire Engineer to join our technology team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in VMware Tanzu GemFire, along with a strong background in Java and Spring Boot. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, distributed caching solutions that enhance the performance and reliability of enterprise Responsibilities : Design and implement high-performance, distributed caching solutions using GemFire. Develop microservices and backend components using Java and Spring Boot. Optimize caching strategies and data replication across nodes for high availability and fault tolerance. Monitor, tune, and troubleshoot GemFire clusters to ensure peak performance and reliability. Collaborate with DevOps, architecture, and engineering teams to integrate GemFire into scalable cloud-native applications. Analyze system bottlenecks and propose improvements based on metrics and Skills & Qualifications : Strong hands-on experience with VMware Tanzu GemFire (formerly Pivotal GemFire). Proficiency in Java 8+ and Spring Boot frameworks. Deep understanding of distributed systems, data replication, and caching patterns (e.g., write-through, write-behind, near cache). Experience with performance tuning, cluster management, and real-time monitoring tools. Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus. Excellent problem-solving and communication to Have : Experience with related technologies like Apache Geode, Hazelcast, or Redis Enterprise. Knowledge of containerization tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation. (ref:hirist.tech) Show more Show less
