Key Responsibilities: Pre-Bid Design: 1. Study of tender documents and prepare technical quarries. 2. Prepare the Bill of quantity for structure and civil works for tender estimates. Detail Engineering: 1. Prepare/ review the design calculation of the support structures and foundation for the substation equipment. 2. Prepare/ review design and details of gantry structure and foundations. 3. Prepare/ review design and details of earth retaining structures. 4. Understand/ review the soil investigation report and able to discuss with Geotech consultant/ client on geotechnical aspects. 5. Give necessary inputs to draftsperson and review civil drawings of towers, control building/ GIS building, substation equipment and cable trench. 6. Well versed with various design standard IS Codes/ EURO Codes/ American codes and should have worked on international projects. 7. Well versed with seismic design and detailing of buildings and other structures 8. Review the detail structural and fabrication drawing prepared by the fabricator. 9. Prepare the details BOQ of civil item. 10. Issue the drawings to site/ client 11. Technical support to site at the time of project execution and commissioning. 12. Collection of the site data by site visit.

Role & responsibilities • Carrying out HV/ EHV substation design and drawings for both AIS and GIS substations Preparation of equipment specification, layout drawings and calculations ( Short circuit force, Earthing, Direct lightning stroke protection, Conductor sizing, CT / CVT sizing , battery sizing etc.), sizing for the equipment designs and systems BOQ preparation • Knowledge of standards (IEC, IEEE, ANSI). Experience in substation designs from 66kV to 765kV EHV substation designs, Switchyard layouts, Switchyard equipment designs experience is must. Knowledge of Auto Cad software is must. Knowledge of Software like ETAP, CDEGs etc. will be preferable. Must be able to work independently for the jobs • Person should possess good communication skills and able to discuss issues with customer / vendo • Shall be able to prepare/guide the design team to be able to prepare the SLD, general arrangement drawings, electrical layout, sections, EKD, DSLP, Earthing Layout, cable trench layout, switch yard illumination, cable schedule, bill of materials (BOMs) etc. Should be well versed with various busbar schemes. • Should be able to review the equipment vendors drawings/documents. Should also be able to guide the design team to review the equipment vendors drawings. • Should be able to interface with control and protection requirements and knowledge of review of schemes is desirable. • Should be well versed with design calculation for Earthing design, Sag tension, DSLP, Short circuit forces, battery sizing calculation, equipment sizing etc. • Should be able to closely monitor the progress of work (both Projects as well as tender) of the design team. Should also ensure that the projects/tender deliverables are given on time, without delay. • Should be able to handle/monitor the draftspersons. • Should be able to co-ordinate with civil design engineers wherever interfaces.

Responsible for engineering design and modification activities related to electrical & electronic circuits, systems, and equipment. Discipline concerning power systems, electronic and transmission equipment, electric service and supply systems, lighting systems, communication service and supply systems, fire alarm and detection systems, control systems or electrical installations. Duties and Responsibilities Senior technical resource may serve as technical advisor for team Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise. Develops study and design procedures to facilitate high quality cost effective work by others. Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables. Develops construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects. Uses expertise in all steps of completing discipline component of PS&E package. Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings. Prepares technical specification sections. Provides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements. Qualifications Master of Engineering degree (or equivalent education) in an appropriate engineering discipline from an accredited college or university. Chartered Engineer (CEng), or Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent in the relevant field from any global organization (e.g., Institution of Electrical Engineers, UK) Minimum Requirements Overall 6+ years of work experience is preferred. Prior experience in leading large design engineering teams performing Grid Substation design in a global consultancy firm is preferred. Experience on HV Plant Design for large EHV Grid Substations is mandatory.
