Subject Matter Expert (SME) - Project Management Module

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Project Management professional from the construction industry who can join us as a Subject Matter Expert (SME).
This person will use their knowledge of how projects are planned, executed, and billed in real construction work to help us design, implement, and improve our Construction ERP Software (NWAY ERP).

You will work with our clients (construction companies) and our internal team to make sure the ERP system matches actual site practices like BOQ, DPR, Work Orders, Subcontractor Billing, RA Bills, and project reporting.

What You Will Do

• Act as the domain expert for construction project management in our ERP system.
• Understand how construction companies run projects (planning, BOQ, chainage, DPR, RA Bills, etc.) and map that process into the ERP.
• Meet with client project teams (Project Managers, Site Engineers, Billing Engineers) to gather requirements and explain ERP features.
• Help with ERP implementation, testing, and go-live support for the Project Management module.
• Work with our internal team (developers, consultants, sales) to improve the software as per industry practices.
• Train client teams and internal staff on how to use ERP for project management.
• Ensure project data is properly linked with finance, billing, and reporting.
• Provide support and guidance whenever clients face challenges in using the ERP.

What We Expect

• Strong practical knowledge of construction project management processes like:
• BOQ & SOR (Bill of Quantities & Schedule of Rates)
• DPR (Daily Progress Report)
• RA Bills (Running Account Bills)
• Subcontractor Billing & Work Orders
• Chainage & Layer-wise Planning
• RFI (Request for Inspection) and approval processes
• Ability to explain and document processes clearly.
• Good communication skills to interact with both site engineers and management teams.
• Comfortable with ERP/Software usage (prior experience in ERP is a plus but not mandatory).

Qualification & Experience

• Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering / Construction Management.
• 8–12 years of experience in construction project management, billing, or planning.
• Experience in using ERP / Project Management software (Primavera, MS Project, or Construction ERP) will be an advantage.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹14,653.93 - ₹50,000.00 per month
