Studio Director

As a Studio Director at Gensler, your role is crucial in leading and managing the operational activities within the studio. You will be responsible for various aspects including business operations, staff management, project profitability, client relationships, and employee growth and development. Your key responsibilities will include: - Directing and providing leadership for all operational activities in the studio, encompassing business, staff, and financial operations. - Leading business development efforts by reaching out to new clients, managing projects, and collaborating with the Marketing department for lead generation and proposal writing. - Mentoring and motivating employees to reach their full potential, fostering a culture of learning and growth within the studio. - Monitoring and evaluating the efficiency and effectiveness of the studio across staff, business, and financial operations. - Maintaining positive client relationships, attending client meetings, and ensuring high-quality design documentation and client satisfaction are achieved. In addition to your responsibilities, you will also play a key role in overseeing the overall management of the studio, staff development, leadership initiatives, business development/marketing strategies, project management, financial operations, and studio operations. Your qualifications for this role include: - Bachelor or Masters degree in Architecture from an accredited school of design. - Minimum of 15 years of experience in architecture design field with a focus on commercial office developments, residential developments, and mixed-use design and delivery. - Proven leadership skills, business development experience, and technical delivery expertise. - Knowledge of sustainable design principles and commitment to sustainability practices. - Capacity to drive sustainability-focused discussions with clients and teams, with a demonstrated track record in sustainable design projects.
