Student Counsellor

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Student Counsellor with expertise in child and

adolescent psychology to support the emotional, social, and academic well-being of

students. The counsellor will provide individual and group counselling, guide students in

coping with stress, and collaborate with teachers and parents to foster a supportive learning

environment.

Key Responsibilities:

● Provide individual and group counselling sessions to students on academic,

emotional, social, and behavioral concerns.

● Design and implement wellness programs, workshops, and awareness sessions

on topics such as stress management, exam preparation, bullying, peer

relationships, and mental health.

● Identify students requiring special interventions and develop support plans in

collaboration with teachers and parents.

● Maintain confidential counselling records and ensure ethical practices as per RCI

guidelines.

● Support students during transition phases (primary to middle, middle to senior,

board exam preparation, career guidance collaboration).

● Work closely with the school leadership, teachers, and parents to create a positive

and inclusive school environment.

● Refer students to external professionals/agencies if specialized support is required.

● Conduct periodic assessments to track student progress and report outcomes to

the school management.

Qualifications & Skills:

● Educational Qualification:

○ Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology (mandatory).

○ RCI Certification (mandatory).

● Experience:

○ Minimum 4–5 years of counselling experience, preferably in a school or

child-adolescent care setting.

● Skills:

○ Strong interpersonal, listening, and empathetic communication skills.

○ Ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with discretion.

○ Knowledge of child development, behavioral interventions, and mental health

strategies.

○ Effective collaboration with teachers, parents, and external professionals.
