Student Counsellor

About the Role

We are looking for a compassionate and motivated Counsellor at Digimaniac to guide students/clients in making informed decisions about their career, education, or training options. The role emphasizes counselling and guidance, supported by business development responsibilities such as handling inquiries, conducting follow-ups, and ensuring enrolments.

Key Responsibilities

Counselling & Guidance:

• Interact with students/clients to understand their academic, career, and personal aspirations.
• Provide career counselling, program/course recommendations, and admission guidance.
• Conduct one-on-one sessions, workshops, or group counselling as required.
• Support students/clients in decision-making by offering accurate and clear information.
• Maintain student/client records, ensuring confidentiality and timely follow-ups.

Business Development Support:

• Handle inquiries (walk-ins, calls, and online leads) with professionalism and empathy.
• Convert counseling sessions into admissions/enrolments.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective students and parents.
• Assist in promotional events, webinars, and outreach activities to generate awareness.
• Achieve admission/conversion targets while prioritizing quality counseling.

Requirements

• 0–3 years of experience in counselling, academic advising, or admissions.
• Excellent listening, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to guide and motivate students with empathy and patience.
• Basic knowledge of MS Office and CRM tools.
• Strong sense of responsibility, confidentiality, and integrity.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in educational counselling, career guidance, or student services.
• Understanding of academic programs, career paths, and training trends.
• Comfortable with target-oriented admissions while keeping student interests first.
