Each year we receive around 100,000 applications worldwide. In order to enhance the application process and applicant experience, we are seeking to appoint 2 Admissions Officers in our Regional Office in India.
The post holders will be also members of the Admissions team based in London and report back to the London office. The role would include responding to enquiries from potential applicants, giving advice about entry requirements and qualification equivalencies, and other work supporting the recruitment and admissions process. All Admissions Officers will be expected to work to individual and manage team targets. They are also expected to work flexibly and may be assigned to work across team boundaries at peak times.
The above list of responsibilities is not exhaustive, and the jobholder may be required to undertake other duties commensurate with the level of the role, as reasonably requested by their line manager.
The successful candidates will be expected to display the following skills and attributes:
-Knowledge of UK HE system, including HE trends, qualifications and curricular demands and changes, UCAS procedures, fees and awards regulations, UK Visa & Immigration student visa policy.
-Recent experience of working in an administrative function supporting the recruitment or admission of students would be a plus.
-Recent experience of working in a busy customer-oriented environment, preferably in a recruitment-focused team
-Experience of working within a complex, highly regulated environment
-Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks, work to tight deadlines, and to prioritize workloads effectively
-Ability to manage conflicting priorities and work effectively under pressure, maintaining accuracy at all times
-Ability to acquire knowledge and understanding of complex procedures, regulations and guidance and to apply this to making decisions accurately and consistently
-Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate effectively with applicants, their advisers and staff at all levels within the university
-Excellent English oral and written communication skills and the ability to draft clear correspondence for a variety of audiences
-A high level of computer literacy, including knowledge and ability to use MS Office applications to intermediate level
-Ability to work unsupervised and also as part of a team
-Flexible and adaptable approach
-Willingness to be flexible on hours of work on a regular basis
