Student Admission Officer supporting QMUL

As an Admissions Officer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the application process and providing a positive experience for potential applicants. Your responsibilities will include offering advice on admissions policies, entry requirements, and qualifications equivalencies, processing applications in compliance with relevant procedures, and assisting in the recruitment and admissions process. Additionally, you will be expected to work towards individual and team targets, demonstrate flexibility in your approach, and collaborate effectively with colleagues across different teams during peak periods. Key responsibilities of the role include providing guidance to applicants, advisers, and colleagues on admissions policies and overseas qualification equivalencies, ensuring the accurate processing of applications, making selection decisions in alignment with established criteria, maintaining applicant records, and supporting the enrolment process. You will also be required to stay up-to-date with developments in designated academic subject areas and adhere to relevant legislation and policies at all times. The successful candidates for this position should possess a solid understanding of the UK higher education system, including UCAS procedures, and recent experience in an administrative role supporting student recruitment or admissions. Strong organizational skills, the ability to work under pressure, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, proficiency in MS Office applications, and a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances are essential qualities for this role.
