Job Description

· Design and analyze structural components and systems for buildings and other structures.

· Evaluate the strength and stability of existing and/or proposed new structures using engineering principles and methods.

· Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal building codes and regulations, including US Standards such as ASCE 7, ACI 318, AISC Steel Design Manual, TMS 402, and NDS.

· Understand project requirements and provide design approach accordingly, recognizing that all projects are different.

· Prepare structural calculation package, project specifications, reports and design documents and sketches.

· Manage engineering and drafting team to develop structural design and produce drawings.

· Coordinate with engineers, architects, contractor and other stake holder via calls, emails

· Attend project meetings and actively participate when required.

Qualifications

· Master's degree in Structural Engineering or a related field.

· Minimum 4-6 years of proven experience in managing USA-based projects.

· Experience with at least two of the four primary construction materials: steel, concrete, wood, and masonry, with at lease 1-2 project experiences in each.

Proficiency in advanced structural analysis software and tools such as SAP2000, ETABS, RISA 2D/3D, SAFE, Enercalc, s-concrete, etc.

· Strong knowledge of structural analysis and design principles with the ability to train younger engineers.

· Understanding of construction process, project life cycle, and construction materials.

· Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) with stakeholders.
