Structure Design Engineer

As a Design Engineer for the Airframe Structure Design Team at Airbus India in Bangalore, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality and management of the multi-ATA A/c structure Design Data Set (DDS). Your responsibilities will include contributing to improvement projects related to the design data set, managing and animating the SA/WB product structure DMU Management, and actively participating in specifying, designing, and integrating vehicle architecture and equipment functions on multiple platforms such as SA A320 and WB A350 Program. You will be designing new components and installations using CATIA V5, involving both metallic and composite materials. Additionally, you will lead projects to support new opportunities, developments, and enhancements of existing aeronautical products. **Main Responsibilities:** - Define vehicle structure architecture and function solutions to meet engineering operation requirements, customer needs, airworthiness standards, and company specifications. - Design, integrate, and approve defined solutions and design data sets. - Review technical documents for verification of structure architecture and product structure. - Define and implement verification methods and programs, including analysis and tests, and deliver results to the Airworthiness team. - Provide technical design analysis of third-party STCs. - Assess change impacts on legacy products and implement valid design solutions. - Design, develop, and review technical documents and engineering structural drawings for integrating equipment and interfaces. - Create layouts for aircraft modifications and configurations. - Perform drafting and 3D modeling of installations, assemblies, and parts. - Check wiring diagrams, wire routing, aircraft structure interfaces, and airframe design integrations. - Review installation instructions and ensure continued airworthiness. - Provide support to internal and external customers for aircraft integration and conformity efforts. **Education & Job Requirements:** - Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (or similar). - Masters of Science in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering is an asset. - Professional Engineers License (or eligibility) is considered an asset. - 3-5 years of experience in vehicle architecture or structural design of commercial aircraft. - 2 years of experience in project engineering and coordination. - Proficiency in Catia V5 & Airbus PDM/PLM. - Knowledge in product component design, assembly, installation & HnF selection. **Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities:** - Accurate and timely completion of tasks for aeronautical product development. - Strong initiative and motivation to work independently or in a team. - Ability to learn, understand, and follow procedures. - Knowledge of vehicle architecture, wiring diagrams, design principles, structural design constraints, aeronautical materials, and verification methods. - Understanding of aircraft performance, loads, and stress analysis.
