Job Description

As a Structural Design Engineer at Ishttaa, you will be responsible for product design and development activities, including Value Engineering, Quality & Reliability, and NPDs. Your role will involve leading various project deliveries meeting Quality, Delivery & Cost (QDC) requirements. You must have a strong competency in handling Mechanical Engineering projects such as SOM, Structural, and Hand calculation. Your key responsibilities will include: - Leading product development activities such as Concept generation, Design & Development, Planning, Testing, and providing input to the Advanced Engineering team FEA & CFD. - Leading Risk assessment, Prototyping, testing concept designs, initial engineering builds, Pilot Production, Design reviews, Design verification testing, Product validation, Pre-production & launch activities. - Understanding and capturing the product requirements, working closely with global SMEs, and delivering projects adhering to Trane Technologies Product Development Process. - Solving complex technical problems using engineering problem-solving tools in a structured approach. - Carrying out Project activities under minimal supervision of a Team Lead/Manager. - Driving VAVE projects independently from Project Scoping to Closure of the project. - Leading/driving Costing, Product Teardowns, and Idea generation sessions. Qualifications required for this role include: - BE degree/ Master in mechanical / Automobile engineering with strong academics. - 3-5 Years of Industry Experience. Key Competencies expected from you are: - Ability to identify root cause of a problem and take effective action to solve problems. - Hands-on experience in DFMEA, DVP, and test plan development. - Exposure to prototyping and testing. - Hands-on experience in designing load-bearing structural components for products. - Good understanding of component design & Manufacturing of plastics, sheet metal, casting & machining. - Exposure in Pro E Modules Part, Sheet metal, Assembly (Top down and Bottom up) and Drawing. - Basic knowledge in materials sciences and electrical systems. - Effective teamwork and strong communication skills. - Project Management skills for less complex projects from initiation to closure.
