As a Structural Design Engineer at Ishttaa, based in Bangalore, you will be responsible for product design and development across various projects such as Value Engineering, Quality & Reliability, and NPDs. Your primary focus will be on meeting project deliveries that align with Quality, Delivery, and Cost (QDC) standards. You should possess strong competency in managing Mechanical Engineering projects, including SOM, Structural design, and hand calculations. Your role will involve leading product development activities encompassing Concept generation, Design & Development, Planning, Testing, as well as providing input to the Advanced Engineering team FEA & CFD. You will also lead Risk assessment, Prototyping, testing concept designs, initial engineering builds, Pilot Production, Design reviews, Design verification testing, Product validation, Pre-production & launch activities. Understanding and capturing product requirements are essential, and you will collaborate closely with global Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to ensure project delivery while adhering to Trane Technologies Product Development Process. Your ability to solve complex technical problems using structured engineering tools will be crucial. In this role, you will execute project activities with minimal supervision from a Team Lead/Manager. You should be capable of independently driving VAVE projects from Project Scoping to project Closure. Additionally, you will lead Costing, Product Teardowns, and Idea generation sessions. Qualifications: - BE degree/ Master in mechanical / Automobile engineering with strong academics. - 3-5 Years of Industry Experience Key Competencies: - Ability to identify root causes of problems and take effective actions to solve them. - Hands-on experience in DFMEA, DVP, and test plan development. - Exposure to prototyping and testing. - Experience in designing structural components for products. - Understanding of component design & Manufacturing of plastics, sheet metal, casting & machining. - Exposure in Pro E Modules such as Part, Sheet metal, Assembly (Top down and Bottom up) and Drawing will be beneficial. Basic knowledge in materials sciences and electrical systems. - Effective teamwork and strong communication skills. - Project Management skills for less complex projects- from initiation to Closure. You should have a PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Sciences, or a related field and 5+ years of industry or research experience. Advanced knowledge and experience in semiconductor process technology and device design based on Silicon. Sound understanding of the process models describing implantation, diffusion, and activation of dopants in Silicon. Hands-on experience with TCAD simulation or emulation tools.
