Job Title: Store Manager – Sub Sandwich Shop

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Store Manager to lead daily operations of our sub sandwich shop. The ideal candidate should have prior knowledge of preparing subs/sandwiches, managing food service operations, training staff, maintaining inventory, and delivering exceptional customer service. This role combines leadership, food preparation, and business operations.

Key Responsibilities:Operations & Leadership

• Oversee daily operations of the store including opening and closing procedures.
• Lead by example in preparing high-quality subs according to brand standards.
• Ensure all food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards are met.
• Supervise and schedule staff shifts to ensure efficient operations.
• Conduct daily/weekly/monthly inventory checks and place orders as needed.

Food Preparation

• Make subs and sandwiches accurately and consistently as per recipes.
• Train team members on sub preparation techniques, portion control, and product freshness.
• Monitor food prep areas and ensure timely stocking of ingredients.
• Maintain high standards for food presentation and taste.

Staff Management

• Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate team members.
• Motivate staff to deliver excellent customer service and maintain productivity.
• Handle employee relations, including performance reviews and conflict resolution.

Customer Service

• Ensure a welcoming and friendly environment for customers.
• Resolve customer complaints and queries effectively and professionally.
• Monitor service quality and make improvements based on customer feedback.

Sales & Reporting

• Monitor daily sales and meet store targets.
• Manage cash handling and ensure accurate end-of-day reconciliation.
• Prepare and submit daily/weekly reports on sales, labor, and inventory.

Compliance & Safety

• Comply with health and safety regulations, including food handling and sanitation.
• Ensure the store meets all local, state, and corporate policies and regulations.
• Implement safety procedures for staff and customers.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in food service or management is a plus.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a food service environment, preferably in sandwich/sub shops.
• 1+ year of experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of sandwich/sub preparation, food hygiene, and kitchen procedures.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
• Basic computer skills for POS, inventory, and reporting.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with [Insert brand if applicable Subway operations and recipes.
• Passion for customer service and team development.

Working Conditions:

• Fast-paced kitchen and retail environment.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs.
• Flexible schedule required, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
