Role Overview: As a Store Executive in a piping company, your role involves managing the inventory, procurement, and storage of materials and supplies essential for piping projects. You will ensure that materials like pipes, fittings, valves, and other construction-related components are readily available, maintain accurate stock levels, oversee inventory accuracy, and ensure smooth store operations. Collaboration with procurement teams, contractors, and project managers is essential to fulfill material requirements for ongoing projects. Key Responsibilities: - Inventory Management: - Maintain accurate records of all materials and equipment in stock, including piping materials, tools, valves, and fittings. - Update inventory regularly and monitor stock levels to prevent shortages or overstocking. - Conduct periodic stock audits and physical inventory counts for accurate reporting. - Monitor shelf life and storage conditions of materials to prevent damage or deterioration. - Material Procurement and Ordering: - Coordinate with procurement teams to order materials based on project requirements and stock levels. - Ensure timely delivery of materials and resolve any order-related issues. - Track delivery schedules with suppliers and ensure materials meet quality standards. - Document materials with purchase orders and receipts upon arrival. - Material Storage and Organization: - Supervise proper storage of materials, ensuring organization and accessibility. - Enforce handling procedures to protect materials and ensure safety. - Maintain a clean and organized storage area, complying with safety regulations. - Optimize storage capacity while ensuring safe and organized access to materials. - Issuing Materials: - Issue materials to site supervisors, engineers, or contractors as per project needs. - Record all materials issued accurately and track documentation. - Verify quantity and quality of materials issued against project requirements. - Return unused materials to inventory if applicable and record appropriately. - Documentation and Reporting: - Maintain detailed records of stock movements, material receipts, and issuances. - Prepare regular reports on inventory levels, material usage, and discrepancies. - Assist in cost reports related to material usage and inventory turnover. - Ensure proper documentation for audits, inspections, and project tracking. - Supplier Coordination and Liaison: - Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers for timely material availability. - Track supplier performance and resolve issues promptly. - Ensure materials meet project specifications and standards. - Health and Safety: - Adhere to safety protocols in material storage, handling, and transportation. - Conduct safety inspections to ensure a safe warehouse/store environment. - Participate in safety training programs to stay updated on regulations. - Support to Project Teams: - Provide material support to project teams for smooth execution. - Coordinate with site managers, engineers, and project staff to meet material demands. - Ensure timely supply of materials to avoid project delays. Qualifications Required: - Educational Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. - Certifications in inventory management or materials handling are advantageous. - Experience: - 2-3 years of experience in material handling, inventory control, or store management. - Experience in construction, piping, or oil & gas industry preferred. - Previous warehouse or store management experience highly desirable. - Technical Skills: - Knowledge of materials used in piping systems and related components. - Proficiency in inventory management software like SAP or Oracle. - Understanding of material handling and safety procedures. - Soft Skills: - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively. - Problem-solving skills to address supply chain issues.,
